Church near Ancient Matinea
In 1994, Bas took us to this relatively unknown church in the middle
of the Peloponnese. If I recall correctly, you take the road north
from Sparta, and turn right, taking the road to Ancient Matinea. On
the way, you come across this church, commissioned by a local parish,
but they weren't happy with what they got. It was built by a local
artist. It's utterly amazing.
