A recent area of computer graphics/computer vision research composites panoramic views from multiple viewpoints, and commercial products are available for image mosacing. These pictures were combined by Rich Radke, using mosacing software developed at Princeton, into:

The vanishing ledge is due to parallax in the images, since I probably translated the camera in space between pictures.
